Founded in 2017 under the umbrella of Christians United of Beaver County, Undivided in Christ is a cross-racial, cross-denominational, cross-generational cohort of church leaders and members in Beaver County that exists to unify the Body of Christ in Beaver County across ethnic, cultural and denominational lines through educational and practical training in the stories, causes and Biblical solutions to our historical divisions. As part of the Kingdom-community through which God is reconciling the world to himself in Jesus Christ, we pray and work to be ministers of his reconciliation (2 Corinthians 5:11-21).
United through our common hope in Jesus Christ and guided by Scriptures, we believe:
We are called too…
- Join together to call forth transformation in cultures, attitudes, behaviors, and systems of injustice in response to God’s love for all, and in fulfillment of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
- Love and advocate for our neighbors as Jesus modeled and taught.
We must know…
- We are united as members of the Body of Christ through faith in Jesus, who has reconciled us to God through His death and resurrection.
- We are called to live as an expression of God’s Kingdom on earth, as it is in heaven, including the ministry of reconciliation.
- That racism and its consequent racial injustice is a pervasive and persistent sin in our culture and our churches, diminishing all humanity.
We do this by…
Advocating Together
“Bearing one another’s burdens” by advocating publicly and in our churches on behalf of those in need of Biblical justice.
Learning Together
Developing and providing educational and practical training in Biblical unity addressing ethnic, cultural, socioeconomic, denominational, and social justice issues.
Worshiping Together
Building genuine and fruitful relationships among our churches through social engagement and corporate worship.
Working Together
Committing to respectful, loving, transparent, and intimate relationships among the group members, including prayerful times of confession and forgiveness for the past and present sinful attitudes and behaviors. Supporting efforts by other Christian organizations that promote racial reconciliation and unity.
