Who We Are:
The concept of IDAC began in approximately 2012 with an organization formerly known as the Cultural Linguistics Competency (CLC), which strove to improve cultural relations through a better understanding of language and its effects in minority communities. In 2016 the organization decided to formalize its structure and changed its name to the Inclusion, Diversity, and Awareness Council (IDAC). At that time the group elected officers, formed committees to address specific goals, and pursued activities to increase employment opportunities for disenfranchised citizens.
SJO Cares
Our Mission:
We exist to engage, equip, and empower individuals, families, and communities through outreach, relationship building, social development, consulting, coaching, and training.
Who We Are:
SJO Cares is a non-profit 501(c)(3) community outreach and engagement organization that serves individuals, groups, and communities. We are based in Beaver County but have done work all over the country. We work to promote healthy relationships, social growth, positive life coaching, and consulting that lead to commitment, perseverance, accountability. SJO was founded in 2014 and SJO Cares is an extension and was founded in 2022. Shon and Jikkiko saw the need to address issues that plague the community, such as: unhealthy relationships, absence fathers, eroded life skills, basic bible literacy and more. SJO’s goal is to help individuals, families, and communities reach their fullest potential so they may have more positive outcomes, while enjoying their life fully and participating as productive citizens.

Our Mission:
The TRAILS reentry project is a holistic, faith-based approach to assisting those impacted directly or indirectly by the trauma of incarceration. This process begins during an individual’s incarceration, for both themselves and their families, and continues through the redeeming processes of restoration and reunification.
