We desire to do more than say good things, we prioritize action. One of our Four Areas of Focus is Working Together.
In working together, we commit to respectful, loving, transparent, and intimate relationships with each other. This includes prayerful times of confession and forgiveness for the past and present sinful attitudes and behaviors. We support efforts by other Christian organizations that promote racial reconciliation and unity. We participate in various service projects, advocacy opportunities, and hands-on partnerships with organizations pursuing unity alongside us.
While most of our work is organized and led by our Advocacy Team, service opportunities are usually open to the entire Undivided community.
Advocacy Team
One of the traditional practices of the Christian life is lament: to grieve where the world is broken and raise that grief to God. As a group of Christians advocating for justice and unity in Beaver County, we lament the brokenness and injustice that happens in our wider world. As we lament, it strengthens our resolve for the work of healing, justice, and reconciliation in our country. Our Advocacy Team focuses on turning lament into action.
Working Together
Our Advocacy Team’s current project is in collaboration with TRAILs Ministries, providing support for their ongoing programs serving those currently and formerly incarcerated. Our Advocacy Team currently collaborates with TRAILS through programs such as Angel Tree, Stuff the Bus, providing re-entry essentials as needed, and coming alongside TRAILs Dove Program for at-risk youth in Beaver County.
Historical projects:
In 2020, our Advocacy Team created and sent a letter to the Mayor of Minneapolis in the wake of George Floyd’s tragic death. Our team encouraged the Mayor to act justly, require accountability, and take heart amidst the aftermath of such a horrific event.
